Flying Wild Alaska aired on January 14, 2011, just days after Discovery Communications dropped the TLC series Sarah Palin’s Alaska. The new show features the native Alaskan family “The Twetos’s” that shows the challenges of living on the rugged Alaskan weather while operating Era Airlines to connect families that are hundreds of miles apart in remote Alaska. Era Airlines operates 70 airplanes hauling Passengers, mail and freight.
