Frank Murphy has been a resident of Venice, CA since 1979. Shortly after settling in Venice, he assembled his first project team to build an eight-unit apartment complex. He went on to become a founding principal of Seabreeze Development, a Venice-based company that developed over 30 properties, comprising over 60 homes and commercial spaces in Venice and Southern California. Frank has continued to design and develop properties and form associations with other professionals; he has formed a unique development model, integrating artwork in his building projects thus creating a collaboration between the architect, the artist and the built environment. In April of 2002, Frank decided to create a forum for ideas and further network the working relationships he had cultured and thus founded the Venice Collaborative.
