What does Vodka and Indian Food have in common?
Celebrities of course! Chakra Cuisine in Beverly Hills was the scene for last night’s exclusive Pre-Oscar lounge soiree hosted by Power Player magazine.  The vodka sponsored by Fortune Vodka was whipped up into 7 different types of Chakra Martinis and the hors d’oeuvres were fantastic!  I only made it to Chakra 3, hmm, what would have happened if I got to number 7?  Kettle who?  Fortune vodka was a major hit!  These guys know how to make great vodka.
Power Player magazine attracted quite a list of celebrities including Gunner Wright (upcoming blockbuster G.I.Joe) looking dapper in Calvin Klein, Isabella Grosso (actress) looked quite stunning in Julia Clancey (plunging neckline and dolman sleeves are perfect for a dramatic look), Christina DeRosa (actress) was wearing the hottest shoes from Jacob Meier, Kaki West (model) was smoking hot in Herve Leger (great for any girl headed to the club for a night of dancing – you will turn heads).  Sandy McCree (The Wire) rocked it out in a black suit and had me on the floor laughing.  She slayed me when she said I look way younger than my age.  Flattery will get you everywhere, Ms. McCree.  We also ran into Tiffany Pollard from I love New York looking like the diva she is in a stunning sequin & beaded gown.  Work it sister!
Also on hand was Ilyse Craft from Aglow Candles.  They have the best eco-chic candles out there today.  They come with beads and rhinestones in crowns, fleur-de-lis, hearts and of course every letter.  The scents are simply put – amazing! Pomegranate and Havana Suede are my favs. They are soy based which lasts longer than regular candles.  But that’s not even the coolest part.  They have developed a special pink ribbon crystal candle for Revlon Run/Walk for Women’s Cancers in Los Angeles in May 2009 which is near and dear to my heart.  You must own one, two or three!
Now let’s talk about Chakra.  First off, if you are having a party, this is the place to host it at.  They have a great space for private events, but the bar and patio is where it’s happening.  The appetizers were just delicious.  My favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala.  All the food was amazing, so if you love Indian food and a hip atmosphere to hang out in, this is the place.
Up next – Oscars Suites (hit me with that tax-free swag baby) and of course The Oscars.  Stay tuned for more exciting fashion news from Realtvfilms as we hit the red carpet events.
