HORROR-THRILLER “HUFF” KILLS AT PHILADELPHIA COMIC CON
PHILADELPHIA, PA (June 7, 2012)—The cast and crew of the new spine-tingling indie feature film HUFF were on hand in Philly this past weekend for a special screening at Wizard World’s Comic Con fan show Friday night at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
HUFF, a twisted adaptation of the classic bedtime story “The Three Little Pigs,” stars Charlie O’Connell (“The Bachelor” Season 7) as a sexually abusive stepfather (the “big bad wolf”) who embarks on a rage-induced killing spree as he pursues his three stepdaughters (the “three little piggies”) who have run away with his money.
Throughout the weekend, O’Connell, co-star Elina Madison (Creepshow 3, Chop), and director Paul Morrell (Filth to Ashes, Texas Chainsaw Musical) were on hand to sign autographs and take photos with fans a no charge, a nice break from the hundreds of dollars being charged by genre super stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers, Snow White and the Huntsman), Marvel comics legendary creator Stan Lee, and the iconic William Shatner (Star Trek).
Fan reaction to HUFF continues to be positive. “Expect to be shocked and to not be able to take your eyes off the screen,” proclaims film critic Phil MacManus of Pixelated Dimensions, a Massachusetts-based podcaster attending the convention. “It’s a breath of fresh air in the film business. [I] recommend it.”
The fun continued at the star-studded HUFF after-party sponsored by Field House Restaurant located in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia where fans were invited to rub elbows with the stars in a festive environment.
The next scheduled screening of HUFF is Friday, June 30, 2012, as an Official Selection to the Fright Night Film Festival taking place at The Galt House Hotel & Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Information about the festival and concurrent fan convention can be found at FrightNightFilmFest.com.
About Windchaser Pictures: Windchaser Pictures is a privately funded independent feature film company in Santa Clarita, CA. HUFF is Windchaser’s first feature film. Additional films are in development.
