Kristal Geddes

Kristal Geddes, is not only smart and beautiful, but also immensely talented. We recently sat down with her to talk about her love for acting and who inspired her growing up. Here’s what she shared with RealTV Films:
Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into performing?
Hi my name is Kristal Geddes, I first started acting or had the impulse to act when I was 7 years old. I asked my Mum if I could go to Acting School to get on TV and in my words “do what they do”. So, we sat down and went through the directory and found the closest acting school, where I attended the Oliver Theatre School in Catford. I starting performing further on in life mainly from 2010 onwards.
What inspired you to get into this industry?
Honestly, I sat down one day and said to myself “I need to do something for me, instead of always using my energy to pursue someone’s dream for themselves”.
What kind of training have you had, if any?
I have trained in various acting schools in London from summer sessions at RADA, attending Identity Drama School one of London’s most profound Drama Schools, Middleweek Newton and Kingdom Drama School. I also traveled to LA and trained with Lesley Kahn, Amy Lyndon along with master classes with various managers and agents. I also train with my LA Acting Coach Kimberly Jentzen on a regular basis.
What has been your favorite role to play so far?
I’ve had some great roles thus far, but I think my favorite was playing a rebel teenage student in a short TV Series.
What has been one of your biggest achievements in your career so far?
There’s been many hurdles and looking back it’s been a wonderful journey so far, but one of the great memories I have, is attending the open casting for “Star Wars”, it took a lot of strength to stay in line in the early hours of a UK November morning (4am) for nearly 8 hrs. I couldn’t feel my fingers/feet/face in a stadium with no shelter just freezing breeze hahahaha, but I’m grateful I stayed, because I got a call back! I couldn’t have been more excited, but unfortunately after a few auditions I didn’t receive the call I wanted. I’m so happy my resilient approach paid off in some way!
What projects do you have coming up?
My latest project is “The Surrogate of Infidelity” where I play a character who has fallen, head over hills for a guy that’s not 100% into her. It’s a really good production I can’t wait till the final edits are finished.
Who would you most like to work with?
Ohhh this one is a hard one but here goes, Kerry Washington, Oprah, Queen Latifah, Meryl Streep, Jim Carrey, Will Smith, Brad Pitt, The Rock, Gene Wilder, Katherine Heigl, Cameron Diaz, Aml Ameen, Michael Fassbender, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Keanu Reeves, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, I could name many more but I’ll leave it there!
What are your plans for the future?
To accomplish all of my dreams and inspire billions of people to do the same!
What is your advice to aspiring performers?
I would say: “There will always be obstacles in whatever you want to do, but if it’s something you can’t do or live without, I suggest you put your mind to it and go for it like a bull seeing red – and don’t give up on YOU, first and foremost!”.
